You can follow simple steps to find out whether your bank account is linked with Aadhaar or not. Aadhaar is a 12 digit identification number that is used for many purposes.

How to check status? – You can check which of your accounts are linked with Aadhaar by visiting the official portal of Unique Identification Authority of India ‘myAadhaar’. Link bank account with Aadhaar card through ATM
Aadhaar Link Bank Account: If you have an ATM card then you can go to the nearest ATM and link the Aadhaar card with the bank account through the process given below.
- First of all you have to go to the ATM of your nearest bank branch.
- Insert your card and enter the ATM PIN
- After this you have to click on registration option in services menu.
- Now you have to select the Aadhaar Enrollment option.
- After this you have to select the account type current or saving account.
- After that you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number.
- To confirm Aadhaar number you have to enter it again and click on OK option.
- As soon as your Aadhaar is linked with the bank account, a notification message will appear on your mobile.
- This will complete the process of linking Aadhaar card with your ATM.
Check if your bank account is linked with Aadhaar or not-
- For this, click on the official website of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in
- 2. Next click on the My Aadhaar tab and go to the drop down menu and select the Aadhaar service.
- Go to Aadhaar Services section and click on Check Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status.
- Next page will open where you will get Aadhaar number 12.
- Next click on Send OTP and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number here.
- After entering the OTP, you will immediately know which of your bank accounts is linked with your Aadhaar.
Link Aadhaar card with bank account through bank branch
Aadhaar Link Bank Account: If you are not using net banking, you can go to the bank and get it linked with Aadhaar.
- For this you have to provide photo copy of Aadhaar. Carry the passbook along with this.
- Submit a form here. By which your account can be linked with Aadhaar.
The bank will send you a message when the account is linked. Make sure that the mobile number registered in the bank and the mobile number registered in Aadhaar are the same.
Link Aadhar card with bank account through SMS
Aadhaar Link Bank Account: If you don’t have net banking or ATM, don’t worry. You can link the account with Aadhaar through SMS.
- Send a message to 567676 in the given format : UIDAadhaar NumberAccount Number.
- Your bank will confirm your seed initiation process.
- After your linking process is complete, your bank will notify you via SMS.
- If the seeding is unsuccessful, your bank will ask you to visit the branch.
