The main purpose of Wahali Dhoti Yojana launched by the Government of Gujarat is to provide financial assistance when a daughter is born in a family. The main objective of the Wahali Datta Yojana is to provide financial assistance when a daughter is born in a family. This assistance is given up to one lakh ten thousand rupees (1,10,000) and this assistance is given in three installments.

Objectives of the Vahali Dikri Yojana:
- Empower Girls: Enhance the well-being and opportunities for girls in our communities.
- Improve Girl Child Birth Ratio: Strive for a better balance in the birth ratio of girls.
- Promote Girl Education: Support and encourage girls’ education for their growth and progress.
Eligibility of Vali Dhotti Yojana Beneficiary
- Daughters born after 02/08/2019 will get benefit of this scheme.
- Maximum 2 daughters of the couple will get the benefit of this scheme.
- Both the first and second daughter of the couple will be eligible, but the second daughter must have undergone birth control surgery.
- If there is a first son and a second daughter, then the second daughter will be eligible for assistance. But after the second child birth control operation should be done.
- All the daughters will be eligible for the benefit of this scheme except in the exceptional case of birth of first daughter and second daughter (twins) or more. But after the second child, the birth control operation should be done.
Dear Daughter Yojana Benefits
In the Vali Dotti Yojana, the support will be paid to the daughter in three installments, which are as follows.
- First Installment: Rs 4000/- will be payable at the time of admission to first class of girls.
- Second Installment: Rs 6000/- assistance will be available when daughter enters 9th standard.
- Third Installment: Rs 1 lakh will be available as higher education/marriage assistance at the age of 18 years, but the daughter should not be child married.
